Airstrikes on Al Ghassaniyah, Idlib Kill Four

The Syria Civil Defence reported six airstrikes on a civilian area in Al Ghassaniyah, Idlib at 13:00. The Syria Defence responded and reported four civilians were killed and five injured. It is suspected that the attack came from the Syrian regime.
Two airstrikes on Al Ghassaniyah were also reported at 12:30 see the report below.

Mortar Attack Kills One in Albalad, Daraa

The Syria Civil Defense reported a mortar/artillery attack on mosque during friday prayers, when the Syria Civil Defence responded a second mortar landed damaging the SCD ambulance, injuring 4 including 1x SCD team member and killing the Sheikh of the mosque. When the locals began conducting a funeral for him another mortar landed resulting in no injuries.

Heavy artillery on residential neighbourhoods in Douma

Artillery attacks in the city of Douma today have been confirmed by the Douma Local Council. At least two have been killed in the attacks and injuries were reported. The final casualty count is still to be confirmed.

23 Killed in Airstrikes on Abu al-Duhour, Idlib

Three airstrikes on Abu al-Duhour, Idlibb at 11:00 this morning were confirmed by Syria Civil Defence. The airstrikes hit a fuel station and the surrounding area.

Update at 23:00 March 8th

SCD has gathered full information on the victims: 23 people were killed including 4 children and 3 women. 9 of the bodies could not be identified.

Car bomb explodes near civil defense center in Tal Shab town, Daraa

A car bomb exploded near the Syria Civil Defense in the town of Tal Shab in Daraa province at 7:00pm on March 3rd, 2016. It was likely an assassination attempt targeting an FSA brigade commander. Two men were wounded: the commander and a civil defense rescue worker.

The perpetrator of the bombing has not been identified.

Airstrikes in Douma, casualties reported

The Douma Local Council confirmed three airstrikes on the edges of the city of Douma and the town of Al-Shafuniya beginning at midday today. Civilian casualties are confirmed but the number is yet unknown. Artillery shells were also heard on the edges of the city.

The times of the airstrikes were one 12:04, 12:28 and 12:30.

The Douma Local Council believes the airstrikes originated from Russian warplanes.

The Syria Civil Defense also reported the three strikes but attributed the attack to regime forces. According to them, regime forces targeted the town of Al-Shafuniya in eastern Ghouta with two air strikes and, again, with artillery at 12:50pm. One civilian was killed and several people were injured.

The second air strike was a double-tap attack purposefully targeting the Syria Civil Defense first responders, injuring several of them including the director of the Al-Reyhan center.

Airstrikes in Douma, casualties reported

Regime forces targeted civilian homes in Khan Shyakhoun, Idlib province.

Regime forces launched a rocket artillery attack on civilian homes in Khan Shaykhoun at 9:40am according to the Syria Civil Defense. Two women and a young girl were killed and a number of civilians were injured.

Regime forces targeted civilian homes in Khan Shyakhoun, Idlib province.

Two breaches by regime forces were recorded in Um Sharshouh town in Homs.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights documented two breaches by regime forces in Um Sharshouh town which is under the control of armed opposition groups but free of ISIS or Al Nusra Front presence.

– 1st breach: At 7:30 p.m. regime artillery forces stationed in Kafr Nan launched 5 missiles at Um Shrhouh town.

– 2nd breach: At 7:40 p.m. regime forces used heavy machine guns and targeted the town again.
